my suggestion: watch the show to kinda understand what happens in shadow and bone and then read six of crows (its so much better even tho it comes after the shadow and bone books)

I would lowkey read six of crows first just because it’s the better series and it would give you more motivation to read shadow and bone because you need to read both before king of scars which is absolutely amazing

ABSOLUTELY!!! Then you read the Six of Crows duology, then King of Scars duology for complete lore. There are also some extra books that you dont necessarily need to read, but you can if you want extra info. 😊

I’m going to be so honest, no. Shadow and bone bored the ever loving shit out of me. Like I genuinely could not force myself to even finish the first book and honestly you don’t even need it to read SOC .

I hate to admit it, I tried reading shadow and bone but it wasn’t for me. I watched a yt video explaining the trilogy and jumped to six of crows. Worth it
