I stopped opening car doors for girls in England when I was told it was embarrassing. I explained to my date I only did it because it was a new car and I didn’t want her scratching the door! Now I live in South America, where it's normal and girls actually like the gestures.

Open car doors. Buy her flowers. Pay for meals. Walk on the street side of the sidewalk. Pull out her chair. Let her go through the door first. Offer your jacket when she’s cold. Carry the heavy stuff. If there are weirdos around, position yourself between her and them. Be aware of your surroundings so she doesn’t have to be. Be on time. Put your phone away when she’s talking. It’s not rocket science.
