what happened was ali left . I went to see them at o2 arena they were crap .. went to see them 2 years later in our local park arena .ub40 featuring ali and they were great

They went in two directions. Ali went off and the rest toured as UB40. My opinion Ali is UB40. Not just because he was the voice he was big friends with Astro. Who later rejoined Ali on a few songs before he sadly passed. Ali’s brother rubbished Ali to keep the name but not in my book.
