@felix.tomas31: August 14, 2026 | China 🇨🇳 Huzhou City and surrounding areas in Zhejiang Province were hit by extremely heavy, short-lived rainfall. The situation was particularly severe in Changxian County, where the downpours caused mountain floods, mudslides, and widespread flooding. The most serious incident occurred around 6:30 AM in Tanlongqiao Village, Heping Township. The rain triggered a mudslide that destroyed a house. One person died as a result, and three others were missing. The rainfall was extreme. In Daixi County, 92.3 mm of rain fell in approximately one hour. In Wuxian County, the situation was even more dramatic: at one station, 171.7 mm accumulated in three hours. The average daily rainfall in the county was 128.2 mm. Such volumes of water in such a short time dramatically increased the risk of flash floods, landslides, and urban flooding. In Changxiang, water inundated streets, roads, cars, the ground floors of houses, and shops.
