Like yes Steve not telling Tony about Bucky was being a bad friend, but we’ve lost the plot. Team iron man BECAME team cap in the end, Bucky had been brainwashed by hydra and had no control over his body and Tony was trying to end him in blind rage. Ofc Steve is going to take the side of the one who is 1. His friend and 2. Didn’t have any say in the matter.

here’s my take as someone who has rewatched civil war a week ago: team iron man for the bucky situation and iron man’s moral/choice , team cap for the no government/no accords .

Not to mention that Tony doesn't like being controlled whatsoever. He was only agreeing with it because he felt guilty. I'm sure after a few months he would've broken those accords 😭 Not to mention that he literally did IN THE MOVIE. He withheld information from the government just to go find Steve and Bucky by HIMSELF. HE chose to do that. Even team ironman wasn't really team iron man

Nah, Tony exploited the FUCK out of Peter. I love Tony, but he was shady af in this movie. He knows Peter idolizes him, so he decided to bring this teenager into a fight with experienced people who HAVE killed people, didn’t tell him what was happening, told him he couldn’t tell anyone that he was in germany or what was happening. Peter could’ve died because Tony was being selfish and desperately clinging to righteousness to soothe his own guilt

It’s also funny how no one on Iron Man’s side actually agrees. Tony did it to save his relationship with Pepper, Peter because Tony sort of manipulated him, T’Challa only wanted Bucky, Vision used logic and later disagreed, Natasha wanted The Avengers to stay together, Rhodes did it because he trusted Tony.

people equate steve not conforming to the authoritarian legal repercussions of sokovia as him not taking accountability. he was ready to take accountability. he just didn’t think it should’ve come at the expense of his autonomy. signing away your agency does not absolve you of the guilt or responsibility of what you did. what you did — what happened — you can only try and rectify by making better decisions. it’s stupid to even entertain being team iron man

most team ironman forgetting tony turned to cap in the end too Zemo just had to show winter soldier killing his parents that's why cap always get slandered even tho the movie was about the accords I get it I hate that Steve kept the secret about Tony's parent but at the end of the day tony was right about winter soldier killing his parents while cap was right about the accords
