@margot_explains: Replying to @RoxyLeo Why is it so hard to get supplies to the USS Abraham Lincoln? Why can’t the ship pull into port? I break it down for you #Navy #ussabrahamlincoln #straitofhormuz #iran
Plus, I believe one of the headquarters of the Navy in that region was actually fully destroyed

Former Supply Officer here.... we can utilize other ports to restock MSC ships. Let alone, have ships pull into them. Both India and Africa have ports so we do not need to go through the Strait. All we have to do is fly goods into these countries.

the supply depot is over 2000 miles away because Iran blew up the close one.

A carrier doesn't need to hit port to resupply. They conduct underway replenishments every 2-3 weeks with supply ships. Did 10 years on carriers.

You think Hegseth and Trump and the military even thought about this issue before starting an illegal war?

So again. They didn't have a plan aside from going in and bombing and thinking it would be over in a couple of weeks. I wouldn't put passed them that someone did bring up this scenario and Hegseth ignores them because the president said "Go now, worry later". Complete incompetence.

I know a guy with a Catering Truck, he can pull up to a plane. Pretty simple.

So there's a lot of ways that the military can get replenished at sea. We can take pallets upon pallets upon pallets of goods, stores, food ammunition and luxury consumables like soda and replacement clothing, toothpaste, soap etc through replenishment at sea that's why we have tenders and the tenders carry a lot. So whatever shortages are going through well, when I was in the navy, we had a saying, your p***. Poor planning does not constitute an emergency on my part. And that's exactly what's happening. The Trump administration and their p***, poor planning their knee-jerk. Reaction, in this war in iran, it's one hundred percent a complete debacle

It’s not rocket science…it’s harder now to resupply since Iran destroyed our supply system…1+1=2

Rushed and Poorly prepared for war. Maybe Bahrain was not the best choice for US Naval base that had a chokepoint to get out of.

Bahrain is in the Gulf. Lincoln can’t even go there. Closest resupply port is Karachi, Pakistan
A lot of people also overlook the fact that the 5th fleet headquarters and subsequent base was obliterated by Iran at the onset of the war...

This is the problem that I suspected. It is so much worse than people might realize if Navy cannot access shipping routes to resupply ships. This will keep happening

as a submarine sailor on 637s and 688s (1st flight), our 90 day stores load would become our deck, and definitely NEVER lasted 90 days.
