I think it's so funny that people want to portray HD from the movie as if she were a cute, innocent little bird when she was always a jealous bitch from the start. The only difference is that in the movie version, she was more submissive and quiet until HC passed away; that's when her true personality came out, but apparently everyone forgets that—she's not a good person.

Is it just me or I feel like the musical took Heather duke’s personality from the movie and made it into Heather macnamara and then also took Heather macnamara’s personality from the movie and made it into Heather duke. They just behave and act so different.

я обожаю Хезер Дюк в фильме, она для меня очень понятный персонаж со своей проблемой и конфликтом, а в мюзикле это все свели до утрированного "мне однажды сказали заткнуться, теперь я всем вам буду портить жизнь". несмотря на это я люблю и фильм, и мюзикл, но важно разделять персонажей и понимать, что мюзикл куда проще в плане раскрытия персонажей

Duke in the movie feels more like a real person rather than just cartoony evil if that make sense and ik the point of a musical is to dramatize everything but kind of loses its substance because of it.

i did not like duke at all when j first watched the musical, i watched the movie and liked her a lot more, i feel the effect chandler has on her was portrayed better and i think the made her meaner in the musical, not 159 wayched layer i LOVE movie duke and musical duke is growing on me but they changed her quite a bit 😔
