🍗 🍚 Granny’s Chicken & Rice: this is the ultimate comfort food and only requires 5 simple and affordable ingredients. This has been a recipe passed down in my family for decades and it’s always my favorite no matter what. Side note: be prepared to let this one cook and not be starving because the longer you let it sit on 325 degrees, the better! The chicken and rice melt into eachother and the flavor is indescribable- Good luck not eating the entire casserole 😆! Ingredients: -1 stick of butter (salted or unsalted) -1 pouch Lipton’s Onion soup mix -1 cup White rice -1lb of Chicken -1 can of Campbell’s Golden Mushroom Soup -Water How to make: 1. Melt 1 stick of butter & pour in baking dish. 2. Add 1 cup of UNCOOKED/ Dry White rice to melted butter 3. Add your 1lb uncooked chicken (boneless, skinless) 4. Top the chicken with the Lipton’s Onion Mix 5. Pour the Golden Mushroom soup on top and coat all of the chicken 6. Pour about 8ounces of water on top of everything 7. Cover with aluminum foil 8. Cook for 2 hours on 300 degrees Tip: Do NOT cook over 325 degrees or under two hours -because the whole thing just does not turn out the same. So, make sure you know it’ll take about two full hours before making or you’ll end up disappointed like I’ve done many times lol!
