She was born on the same day as me just a year later I was born a year later from her

Since some people are getting confused is he is going into 6th or 7th grade she is going in 6th grade since her birthday is October 16th she was born in 2014 meaning she should be going into 7th grade this year but since she was born on October the month after September she was put on the grade below the grade she should actually be in. In California unfortunately if ur born after September they put you on the grade below the grade you should be based on the year the rules here in Cali are a bit weird but yeah sorry this is too long idk how to summarize this into a sentence it’s a lot.
