This is the tenure of people who , absolutely , do NOT understand . Yes , his lack of eyes are a cruel spectre , yet their have been so many stories of blind horses , a lot through rescue , who have managed beautifully in their final years . Because they are blind , do you not acknowledge the strength of their body , the legs , the shoulders , the neck , the inquisitive nostrils & lips ? Their being , as an animal who grazes , knows the smell of their friends , finds contentment . Listens intently to the movements around him . Buddy is fortunate to be in a protective environment. with people who know & love horses . ....... This skull , with dead sockets for eyes can be frightening . People , please , BUDDY IS HORSE & he won't be defined by his lack of eyes
