The idea that an HOA can take your house away is WILD to me. Like I thought the whole point of owning property was that you didn’t have a landlord anymore. The more I hear about HOAs the more it just sounds like a landlord for homeowners.

I blame the selling realtor, seems like they should have to do some due diligence before listing the property not just take the sellers word for it.

Sue the title company. They have very large insurance policies to cover errors and omissions.. then go after the seller and the listing agent for not disclosing it
