This sounds weird but I’m actually excited to be “alone” in uni. Like romanticising everyday , working on yourself, having my own space to get myself ready everyday - lols imagine having a roommate like Americans🥴

to anyone who’s stressed i promise there is nothing to be stressed about, everyone is in the same boat. for the most part your flatmates will become your friends because you’re living in such a close environment with them. if you don’t know how to do something you can always youtube it or watch other people do it and then follow. just because you’re moving out doesn’t mean you can’t phone home ever. i used to call home once a week (i don’t rlly get homesick) just to see what was up. about making food, you can always sit down now and learn recipes or make a list of foods you know you like to eat so there’s always something you can make. all in all, it all works out. if you have any more questions or worries i can try my best to answer x

Something I always say to myself is “don’t worry about what ifs, worry about what is” if you think back to everything you have ever worried about I’m sure that 90% of the time it’s turned out ok and wasn’t worth the stress

moving away from family will make you appreciate time with them more. its ok to cry and be sad for awhile but it will get better and you will learn to cope until you next see everyone! my mum even said she spent ages crying at night but one day it just clicks and youre ok. youll get used to your environment and have a routine etc. i struggle making friends too and am worried about that, but honestly im just planning to join societies and talk to anyone. the people you meet in the first few weeks probably wont be your friends long-term, but hopefully we find our people!

even tho i’m staying at home and commuting into central london for uni im still so terrified because i feel like it’s gonna be harder to make friends compared to living in a dorms but you defo aren’t alone in feeling scared about anything!! im just telling myself it’s all gonna be fine on the day and i’ll settle into a rhythm

I feel the same 😓 especially the bug thing?? i got a mini hoover so i can vacuum some bugs up but what if i get silver fish ?? also I’m doing law and I’m also so scared everyone’s gonna be mean and competitive😖

These worries are so valid and I had the same worries last year but I assure you, you will have the best time going to uni in London! You’ll grow a lot as a person once you go to uni! Good luckkk 😆😆
