White bread?! Fancy but definitely not for the peasants. Bread was literally graded based on status. Plus pottage changed based on what veg was available e.g. turnips & nettles

Peasant :
Everyone of European ancestry besides maybe royalty has peasant lineage. More often than not people think they must have these grand royal links relatively close in their ancestry and they do not. Then, as now, we are all peasants, except medieval peasants actually had a higher quality of life compared to many nowadays in a lot of ways.
