@elastaboy: Decompressing your spine won’t fix back pain. The disc load has to go somewhere else, not just stretch out for a minute. Traction feels amazing because it unloads the disc for a few seconds. But your lumbar spine goes right back to carrying weight that your glutes and mid back were built to share. For a lot of people the hip stops extending and the mid back stops rotating, so every step and every twist gets dumped straight into the low back instead. Two drills to start redistributing that load daily: 1. Rear foot elevated split squat, back foot on a bench, drive through the front heel, open the hip fully at the top. 2. Half-kneeling thoracic rotation, rotate the elbow up from the mid back, hips locked still. Backs are individual and plenty of things feed into low back pain, but this pattern shows up constantly. Yes, you can still use your inversion table, it just isn’t the fix on its own. Wake up the muscles that sitting switched off, one joint at a time.
