Place the soup chicken in a large pot. Add the onion and carrots, cover with water, and cook until you have a rich, flavorful broth. Season with salt. 2. Peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes. Add them to the broth and cook until almost tender. 3. Meanwhile, make the dough. Mix 1 egg, a little milk, a pinch of salt, and flour until you get a fairly thick dough. It should be thick enough to slowly fall from a spoon. 4. Transfer the dough into a plastic bag and cut off one small corner. 5. Once the potatoes are almost done, squeeze small pieces of dough directly into the simmering broth, cutting them off with scissors. 6. Important: Dip the scissors into the hot broth from time to time so the dough doesn’t stick to them. 7. Continue cooking for a few more minutes, until the potatoes and little dough dumplings are completely cooked. 8. Finally, add fresh dill and parsley, a bay leaf, salt, and pepper to taste. 9.
