this is normal. it's called a westpac. fleets rotate. usually when they are relieved they go back to the states for repair and maintenance. it's a constant rotation and has been for decades. not even sure how this is a story. it's about like saying, "the sun came up today, more at 6"

We still have the George bush strike force and the HW Bush with a total of 20 support ships. And now the George Washington. Right now we have over 200 planes in the area. That leaves 8 other carrier strike groups to go where they’re needed. 👍👍
