@ultimatestudiosofficial: The final level is almost here. Jumanji Open World arrives in theatres on Christmas Day December 25 2026 and this time the rules have completely changed. For the first time in franchise history the game is no longer pulling players in. It is breaking out into our world. Dwayne Johnson returns as Dr Smolder Bravestone, Kevin Hart as Franklin Mouse Finbar, Jack Black as Professor Shelly Oberon, and Karen Gillan as Ruby Roundhouse for one last ride together. The returning cast also includes Nick Jonas, Danny DeVito, Awkwafina, Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Ser'Darius Blain, Morgan Turner, Bebe Neuwirth, Lamorne Morris, and Rhys Darby with new additions Brittany O'Grady, Burn Gorman, Dan Hildebrand, Jack Jewkes, Marin Hinkle, and Nasim Pedrad. Directed by Jake Kasdan who helmed both Welcome to the Jungle and The Next Level, the film was shot in Los Angeles and Hawaii with filming wrapping in March 2026. Dwayne Johnson has confirmed this is the final Jumanji film bringing the modern trilogy to a close after earning over 2 billion dollars worldwide across three films. Welcome to the Jungle made 962 million and The Next Level pulled in over 800 million. The film strategically moved from its original December 11 date to Christmas Day to avoid the massive Dunesday showdown between Avengers Doomsday and Dune Part Three on December 18. The Christmas corridor has always been Jumanji territory going all the way back to the original 1995 Robin Williams classic and Sony is betting that families will choose one final adventure with this beloved franchise over the holidays.
