After you finish this Saga, if you want to see that alternative universe I would recommend watching "The History of Trunks" But only after finishing the current Saga that you are on.

if you want to know about the future of trunks that i first of all recomend you to do it after the arc ends, after this saga ends, but well then, there are 2 ways to do it first you can read "Trunks The History - The Lone Warrior" that is an special manga that tells trunks story, altough you can also see the anime special "Dragon Ball Z: The History of Trunks", that personaly i find more impacting and better writing and more but is theme of prespective and wich medium you like more, so yeah you chose how to discover the future of trunks and his history (and the history of gohan in the future) just remember to do it AFTER ending the arc, that will make it better yes
