Why the villain literally steps on ice??! Everyone is missing this key detail! If you look closely at the steps, the villain creates ice under their feet just like Elsa does. This proves the villain's magic is directly tied to the same source. In Frozen 1, Grand Pabbie warned "Fear will be your enemy" In Frozen 2, we learned that "water/ice has memory" This villain isn't using a different element it is a Sentient Ice Entity born from all the suppressed fear, isolation, and trauma Elsa poured into her magic during her lonely years. It is literally Elsa's dark shadow given form through Ahtohallan. Elsa won't just be fighting a monster she will be fighting the dark side of her own power!
