You are 100% right. I’ve been following your content for the last couple of months, and before that, I used to think differently. I used to think, “I don’t care if it takes me 70 hours to make $2,500 a week, as long as I’m making $2,500.”
Then I got the job I have now, and I realized that what used to take me five days, I can now make in four. A big part of that is working for a company with really good benefits.
I also remember that at my previous job, holidays were the worst because I would actually make less money. Now, at my current company, when there’s a holiday, I actually make more.
Following your content has made me realize how important good benefits really are for truck drivers. Better benefits and better working conditions give you more time for yourself, more time with your family, and more time with the people you care about.
At the end of the day, it’s definitely better to make $2,500 in 50 hours than to make the same $2,500 in 70 hours. Making good money is important, but making good money while working fewer hours and having more time for your life is even better.
