Sometimes I just stare at him, trying so hard to remember what it was like to be THAT in love. Really it was just naivety. I do still love him with my whole heart, there's just rarely that wholehearted innocence and freeness behind it anymore. I went through so much to give him a beautiful son and I love watching him be a dad but knowing he failed me in my most vulnerable stage of life as a first time mom.... He's trying so hard to fix something that feels nearly irreparable and for our family's sake I hope he achieves it

i just got tired of begging to be loved how i need to be and just hearing “im trying” or “i thought i was doing better” but never seeing any change. like i don’t understand how he thinks that. ive given up on saying anything and started focusing on just loving myself more instead and he hasn’t even noticed. also he never understands me and just gets defensive when i bring anything up and it starts an argument when i just wanted to talk. so i’ve stopped saying really anything but he used to love me so right in the beginning. idk where that version of him went. ik this is a lot 😭
