That part of NC is only in moderate drought. Jordan Lake is a artificial reservoir built in the 70s for flood control.The state maintains the level to comport with that function, variable levels depends on how much capacity they think will be necessary to prevent floods. Honestly, you climate change Nazis need to stop using the levels in reservoirs as scare tactics. Go monitor natural lakes.
