Do not get an SUV because it technically could pull a trailer, but you’d be exhausting the engine/trans and the suv would have major issues early on. Also just not as safe when it comes to stopping!

My daily was a f250 for years and I drove it my whole first year postpartum. Still have it and we just got a “mom” car recently. It’s very doable with a truck! I miss being able to swing by on errands and grab hay, ect lol

I have a 2011 Laramie Longhorn Cummins, identical twin minus mine is white and tan 😂 I'm also wondering how I'm going to manage as that's my daily with a newborn coming soon! We shall see!

You don’t need a “mom car” a truck with a bed cover (to keep stroller or dry) will work just fine. You’ll always end up putting a bale of hay in the back and the amount of hay in your trunk and vehicle will drive you up a wall with a baby in there.

i mean… and hear me out… would it be possible to get a second vehicle? I know everyone’s situations different but i have my F250 for hauling, farm chores, and anything that has to do with my horses and a Rav4 that i use to commute and do “mom” things with. but i also would 100% get rid of my Rav if i didnt have a 1.5hour commute.

I want to go back to a truck. I got an suv with the plan of us moving and needing a spot for our big dogs. And while i can technically use my hubbies truck i hate rely on it being available and want to be back in my own truck again 😅

anything newer will have far worse issues unfortunately.. I’d try to find a reliable diesel tech and see what they say, if fixing it is cheaper than trying to get a new car I’d wait it out :) unless it becomes a worser issue obvi lol

I have a two year old and have a gas truck! I love it. Not your typical mom car but I need it for the horses and dogs and it’s not bad. My advice is get a rotating car seat when she’s ready to get out of the infant seat. It makes it easier to get them in and out of the higher up truck
