heavy on the food, last year I was barely bringing my own food and spending more on food and drink than my commute, also make sure to bring water my uni a water is £3 and fizzy drinks were £2 😭

superdry backpacks will make sure NOTHING inside is damaged I walk to and from (40mins-1hr one way) walking in pouring rain thats the only thing that saved me

kinda glad my commute is 28 min drive, i’d say it still wasn’t worth it to drive back if it was a 4 HOUR BREAK, i just sat in my car tbh

I had a 2 hour commute from north Lanarkshire to easter bush campus, nightmare, 9-5 days, moving to Edinburgh this year, being beholden to scotrail is a nightmare.

Thankful to have my car. With it, I have a 20 minute drive on average rush hour traffic. Without it, it'd be just over an hour or so - which is still fine but the first 25 minutes of that is just walking to the bus stop and I live with way too many hills for that, I'd be needing a change of clothes just to hide how unfit I am 😂

If so what did you just come in for the one bc I’m also commuting this year from Glasgow to Edinburgh uni and I have one lecture a day for two days and I’m stuck on what I should do for the rest of the time 💔 also random but what bag did you use for uni mostly? I can’t find a bag big enough for everything I need for communing

A thermos is important for starting in September too! Going into third year and I’ve only commuted, when it’s fucking freezing and there’s nowhere open yet to get coffee or a warm drink before travelling- having something warm is such a lifesaver 😭
