If your just hanging it and it’s not a extendable type bracket then normal plaster board fixings are fine as new TV’s aren’t heavy at all🤔

I had that issue with my wall a last week. needed to hang 3 wall mounts didn't have a long enough drill bit so ended up having to use some anchor resin. worked perfectly.

I just moved into my home and all my walls are like this!! We have tried metal wall plugs for floating shelves and it’s just not taking anything!! Do you have any advise at all please?! It would be greatly appreciated ☺️

find the stud for support. use magnet to find the nails/screws where plasterboard is fixed to. You're welcome

Internal walls often are not brick unless it’s older property. So first question is age of house and internal or external wall.

Just find the wooden studs behind plasterboard/drywall in UK are 16 inches apart and fix TV bracket to wooden studs to wall .

There’s a huge gap between my plasterboard walls to the brickwork because there’s wooden beams (none central to put the TV up where we need it). We messed up and made a huge hole in the wall just with the bracket not holding when tugged

the length of the fixings that you need is ridiculous. the fixings that came with our 50" TV did not reach! had to buy some extra long to reach the block 😳

An electrician showed me use a magnet , run it up and down on the posts to find nails, that's where to drill

I'm convinced one of my walls is completely hollow. it's internal so surely can't be dot and dab. is there a chance the frame has an inch half-ish between the plasterboard and timber as even my stud finder shows quite a gap?
