I have a degree in Religious Studies, and this is literally basic historical scholarship: Judaism emerged from the ancient Canaanite religious world. So I genuinely have to roll my eyes when people argue that Palestinians are Canaanites but Jews somehow aren’t. Like… MF, that is literally where the Jewish ethnoreligious identity developed. 😭
