The problem is that kids today don’t know the word no. They haven’t had boundaries set and they think they’re equal to an adult.

I can remember being by the tils in asda and my daughter screaming cos I wouldn't let her have something, terrible twos! As she lay on the ground, thrashing I just said to her I was not going to look at her or listen to her until she stopped and I just turned my back on her, on the middle of asda 🤦🏼♀️It took a couple of minutes til she realised I wasn't backing down but she's calmed down (after a vocal escalation 🙄)in the end and I could have a really good chat with her.

thats not a meltdown thats a tantrum. a meltdown is generally a sensory issue and not a conscious behaviour a TANTRUM has an outcome normally i want something or dont want to do something and its a conscious behaviour to get what they want
