Meh. the point of HC is moving on after something has already ended. It doesn’t frame death as a new hope in any conceivable way. Charles is literally stuck in a hellish, meaningless purgatory of his own trauma and regrets. In fact, HC suggests that you should create your own values for yourself, and that those values should have meaning. The games warn against the elements of Nietzsche’s herd mentality that Charles incorporated into his lifestyle and worldview, and how that snowballed into everything that happened. “If there's something that's troubling you right now, or you don't think that you can go on anymore... Please remember that a new day will come.” It’s not like death = new hope, rather it’s about how after something has happened, there’s nothing to be sad about. You have to move on past your regrets to make room for the future.
