as a singaporian that is just fals, let me just say that lee kuan yew is a great politician which will make sence as they were fake tears as lee kwan yew wanted the split all along, he had Goh Keng Swee the finance minister to push for a full split. everything is documented in the albatross files. lky wanted out all along, so the tears were fake, but i guess it worked out in the end🙂

singapore wasn't kicked out. both sides began to have the idea that the union was no longer feasible, and it was a singaporean minister who brought it up first to his malaysian counterpart. it was a carefully strategised political move done in secret so the british wouldn't know until it happened.
