@ash.kelle: I debated on posting this so much but honestly I feel like these kinds of videos made me feel less alone by first time becoming a mom. Fussy babies can be so hard and it’s hard being at home all day alone with them like this. I feel so guilty not being able to play with my daughter but I can’t put him down without a screaming fit. I’ve tried “crying it out” but all he does is escalate. I cry. He cries. No one is happy. I know these days will end one day (hopefully soon) but for now, we’re in the trenches. If you’re going through this right now, I truly wish you the best 🤍 #momlife #velcrobaby #postpartum #baby #momroutine
Not gonna lie. If my baby is fed, burped, changed and has some toys I will put my AirPods in for a few mins and check on him still to get things done

A crying baby that is fed, clean diaper and not in pain is OK. They will be ok and eventually learn to self soothe and entertain themselves

I just want to touch on something you said.. You’re trying not to have PPD again.. honey, PPD is something that happens to you, it’s not something you do to yourself. I had PPD with both my children. There’s no shame in talking to a doctor for help. You can do this. You’re doing it. There’s a reason they say it takes a village. You are so loved. I’m happy to chat if you need a friend. Hang in there ❤️

sister, it is okay to put him in his crib, after you have fed, diapered, made sure hes comfy and safe, walk away, close the door and take 10 minutes to recollect yourself! it is okay! my mama had to tell me this. you have to take care of yourself! you matter just as much as they do! believe me I understand, I hated hearing my babies cry but when I did all I could to take care of them I had to separate and collect myself! 🫶 you are seen!!

So my daughter was breastfed for the first 9m and she was such a Velcro baby after 4m when regression hit. I just finally gave up putting her down during the day and would baby wear her everywhere. She was an anterior placenta baby and loved nestling her head against me and having her riff raff against her face. I finally gave up trying to do anything independently of her and would sit with her on my lap on the floor and play with my toddler. And do all my chores at night or weekends when my partner was home. I know it doesn’t help to hear it now but at 6m she was better and by 14m she was completely independent of me. Sleeps on her own for every nap and through the night. It does get better ❤️🩹

My grandma told me that if your baby is fussy take them outside five babies later it has always worked for me like a reset button sometimes and sometimes just a little break even if baby doesn’t settle down the crying is easier to cope with outside you feel less trapped

this was exactly my son. And I watch people now like at the mall with their infants just shopping or doing whatever they want while their kid is just staring at them in silence and I get so jealous because I spent the first six months of his life with him strapped to me walking outside he would only stop crying if he was attached to me and we were outside anytime I walked through the doors of my house or a building. Anything he would start screaming it was so hard.

I've been here.. deep in it. get some earplugs, it's small but i promise it helps. you're not ignoring your baby, you're minimizing the noise to help your sanity.
