I can't lie, this bear was probably the most heartbreaking one I have ever made, and I honestly debated posting this. The bear is real, but the background is AI. I just couldn't post this without picturing it in a beautiful nursery, right where this precious baby would be. This bear was made for a sweet baby who was born sleeping, and his family asked me to create this bear from the clothes they had lovingly chosen for him. Every little piece of fabric represented hopes, dreams, and a lifetime of love that began before they ever got the chance to bring him home. The bear is real, but the background is AI. I just couldn't post this without picturing it in a beautiful nursery, right where this precious baby would be. They also asked if I could make the bear the same weight as their precious baby's birth weight. I had never done that before, but I wanted to do everything I could to make this bear as meaningful as possible. I carefully added weighted pellets until the bear reached his exact birth weight. I cried more than once while making this bear. 💙 But through those tears, I was reminded of why I do what I do. Eli may not have gotten to grow up in his family’s arms, but his family will always have a way to hold something that represents him. A little piece of the love they had for him, made into something they can hug, hold, and treasure.
