Yep the USA owns more than half the shares of Australia’s mining corporations. These mining corporations make trillions every decade and barely pay back any tax while also having luxuries such as being refunded any taxes paid on petrol. Our democratically voted prime minister Whitlam introduced universal healthcare, ended conscription and outlawed racial discrimination his mistake was standing up to America. He suggested removing pine gap and made moves to nationalise parts of our mining sector so in return he and his entire cabinet was simply fired by the governor general. Basically Australia is America’s little 🐩
