One of the biggest lessons I learned after divorce is this: A woman having her own money benefits her in almost every scenario. Even if she chooses to be a stay-at-home mom. Even if she has a wonderful husband. Even if she never plans to leave. Having your own money, skills, earning capacity, investments, retirement accounts, and financial knowledge gives you options. And options create freedom. If you’re married to a good man, your financial strength benefits the entire family. It creates resilience. It creates security. It creates flexibility. If you’re married to a bad man, he may not like your financial independence because it increases your ability to leave. But for you? There is very little downside. This isn’t about expecting divorce. It’s about recognizing that life is unpredictable. People get sick. People die. People lose jobs. People change. Marriages end. And when those things happen, women shouldn’t have to start from zero. That’s one reason I create content for women rebuilding after divorce, especially former tradwives and women coming out of high-control religious environments. So many of us were taught how to support everyone else. Very few of us were taught how to build financial security for ourselves. If you’re a divorced former tradwife, I’d love to know: What are you doing now to build income, retirement, and long-term financial stability? #FinancialIndependenceForWomen #StartingOverAfterDivorce #Tradwife #WomenRebuilding #MakeALivingAfterDivorce
