@theembodiedmariposa: Yesterday marked the beginning of St. Michael’s Lent, a 40-day season of prayer and devotion leading us toward the Feast of St. Michael the Archangel. 🗡️🕯️ And apparently he decided to remind me very quickly why I keep him close. 💙 Yesterday I went into an antique store looking for a vanity. I love antique stores, but I’m also very aware of how different spaces feel in my body. There were a few areas of this particular store where I immediately noticed a heaviness. Before I went in, I had put on my St. Michael Grounding + Protection Oil. I keep a roller in my purse. As I moved through the store, something interesting kept happening. Whenever I entered one of those heavier-feeling areas, I could suddenly smell the oil much more strongly. The scent would almost bloom around me. And with it came this very distinct feeling of being covered. Almost like a shield had settled over me. I didn’t feel afraid. I didn’t feel like I needed to figure out what I was sensing or engage with it. I just noticed feeling protected. ⚔️ That experience felt especially meaningful knowing that we are entering this season of devotion to St. Michael. I’ve also had a couple of feathers in my path yesterday and today. I’m hoping those little signs will continue throughout this season. For the next 40 days, I’ll be praying his Chaplet as part of my personal devotional practice asking for protection, courage, discernment, and the strength to stand firmly in what is mine while leaving everything else where it belongs. St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. ⚔️🧿 And if you’ve been feeling called to work more intentionally with St. Michael, I do still have a few of my St. Michael Grounding + Protection Rollers and Devotional Oils remaining in the shop from the batch that spent three months in consecration and prayer. They were created for moments exactly like this. not from a place of fear, but as a tangible reminder of prayer, protection, grounding, and spiritual boundaries. Also, I did find a vanity. I used my St. Michael Limpia spray to cleanse it before bringing in our home.
