Guys this horse was not reacting to the crop. You can see the horse mustve hit uneven ground or placed a foot weird, AFTER he had already cropped it. Then the man lost his balance due to the little hop, began falling off, which in turn spooked the horse and caused it to continue hopping.

The horse was wearing a "hood" aka blinkers so he went to sharp in the turn and ran into the guard rail. The whips the jockies can legally use have a flimbies end piece that makes more noise than anything
