I just scored a job interview by calling the company and they did a prescreen interview over the phone because they don’t trust indeed they also don’t trust zip recruiter cause they got hacked as well

How are you even supposed to find a recruiter? What do you say to not come off as rude call messaging them if you do find them? Are they like literary agents for authors? I genuinely don’t know haha

yep. been using indeed for over a decade and since AI have been used by HR majority of resumes don't even make it to the hiring manager because the AI screens resumes for key words and if you dont have key words they reject it

I got 4 jobs off indeed,they weren't good but they were easy to get. 1 job hired me in 10 minutes of the interview

Oh yeah, I’ve put over 100 applications out and only got a response from two jobs and even then the response was to call and say they picked another candidate

Or you work with a recruiter, who knows the hiring manager and gets paid to put candidates in front of the hiring manager

Or networking. Applying doesn't do anything. Find the people you want to talk to and tell them that you are applying for a position, market yourself. Hell, even find a mutual contact and use them, then they have an obligation to either hire you or AT LEAST give you a proper rejection notice unless they want to look bad for not following through.
