Blonde male protagonists are often the most boring characters. If the male love interest is blonde I honestly debate finishing the book at this point. I was fresh off of serial romances when I read ACOTAR and spent the first half of the book hoping the 2nd book would be about Lucien, and the 2nd half hoping it would about Rhysand. I never got the Tamlin love.
