Just so everyone knows the guy who owns Animal Adventures is an intense fundamentalist Christian who doesn’t believe in evolution and I have heard some very odd stories from girls who have interned there. Not telling folks not to go, but you should know who your money is going to.

This is the most upsetting place I’ve ever been. You can see animals with matted hair in distress. They clearly do not have enough space to live clean or healthy. They are all crammed into small spaces. Its horrifying.

my sister works here, the staff do everything they can to make the animals happy. and for the most part they are, a majority of them are rescued/surrendered, from pet owners to other zoos. the comments here are definitely correct tho, v christian, weird ideas on evolution, conditions could be a lot better (they don’t own much land, plus u need permits to build additions so i can understand not having a lotta space. but they do have a LOT of animals for such a small space, and will take in emergent cases. some animals require the small space bc of injuries they’ve sustained elsewhere. they have a wild cat named diego who is in that exact situation, his back leg is messed up and giving him space to run could cause him to hurt himself.) but the staff there truly love the animals and interacting w/ customers, and that’s why they stay.

these people are kinda nuts... think dinosaurs and humans walked together and domesticated. also def not a zoo more like a backyard, first and only time I went the exotic cat was in a literal kitchen/living room
