Displays getting thinner is probably an advantage because of the missing backside is f the actual display. ^^ My guess is more having it streamlined if some MacBooks have retina displays. So there isn’t even a backlight. And also the sunlight putting light through the other way is an definite reason.

I shined a flashlight through the Apple logo to diagnose bad backlights. If I could see an imagine by using a flashlight, backlight was bad.

I always hated that light. I tried so hard to find cases that would hide it because it ruined the whole watching movies at night vibe 😂

Remember when the apple was upside down for a bit? I think they really started pushing the movie ad placements and were like “let’s flip it for the camera.” I guess before they did it upside down because it was about the users experience and they wanted you to see the apple upright before you opened it.
