@mr_nathy: She was gentle with him when the business was bad and no one stays but now that there is growth the man felt embarrassed after she gave him a public reproach. She did gave her reason while she had to did what she did. This a serious confrontation between employee and the employer. share your thought. Who is right?
Meaningful discussions there. There are many lessons to be learnt. I think a grateful organisation should encourage loyalty and have a development plan for its employees especially the loyal and experienced ones. That will motivate new recruits to be loyal. Otherwise, there might emerge a breed of disloyal employees in the long run.

sometimes we dont know how wrong we think we are right. this woman may think she's has a point but she is totally unfair to this employee. it is important to develop oneself while in employment but we must respect those who stood by the company in times of pain when things get better. if she thought improvements for this employee is necessary, she ought to have sent him for training as a way of repayment for his loyalty and support. at this point, I see both of them as co-owners.

Peace for All :
Never base your career decisions on emotions or unwritten promises. Make it based on clear commitments, facts, and what is best for your future. otherwise, disappointment is likely to follow.

Why do I feel like I know this boy?. Dont go yet bro! Stay a little while longer. Develop yourself fast fast. improve yourskills. Get certifications. plenty of it. Build your contacts. then move on.
The Boss's business sense is on point. It is cheaper and easier to get a ready employee than debelop one.
