There was a woman at SCO who double scanned something and instead of doing ANYTHING to alert any of us she just stood there stairing at her screen. Mind you, im on the other side of sco, and go to help a customer and she starts waving her hand “HELLOOOOO???? I’ve been waiting for five minutes!!! All I need is something taken off!!!” Hey wow that’s so cool so did you try and take it off? Did you press the help button? Did you ASK ONE OF THE FOUR EMPLOYEES IN HERE FOR HELP???

No, bc WHY do they really think they can just grab an associate to go get checked out?? Had a lady try this, thinking that buying a high ticket case item meant she could just skip the line and get checked out first. 🤯

i work in ogp and i had to go over to electronics. there was THREE electronic workers standing at the desk doing something and there was this girl standing there waiting for who knows how long. when i came up to get something out of the case for an order, she asks ME if i can unlock something for her. like girl. one there’s three electronic workers standing right there you could’ve asked. for two, i can’t even unlock it for you cuz they have to check you out anyways?? and then she continued standing there after i told her she had to ask the electronic workers.😐

At my old job we have a flavor of the day and one time it was Carmel Turtle which is salted caramel, fudge, pecans, and dove chocolate pieces. We also have a Turtle Sundae which is HOT caramel, HOT fudge, pecans, and a cherry on top. And this older guy wants to order the flavor of the day but he doesn’t want it with hot caramel. I explain that it’s made with salted because the hot caramel and hot fudge would melt the ice cream. And before that I had explained the difference between the FOD (flavor of the day) and the Turtle Sundae. He gets it and then demands a new one because it isn’t the Turtle Sundae. So I make him the sundae instead of the FOD but he again demands a remake because it was supposed to be “what was on the screen”. The thing on the screen he was taking about was a FUCKING CARAMEL CASHEW SUNDAE WHICH HAS HOT CARAMEL, CASHEWS, AND A CHERRY!

I worked at Walmart for like 5 years while i was going through college. After bouncing around most of the departments my take away has been that companies (at least Walmart) have taught customers that if they just get angry and loud enough they’ll get what they want. It happens almost every time. A customer will come up to me, ask for something i cant do, i tell them i cant do that cuz it’s against store policy, they start yelling and getting angry, then a coach or lead comes over and will eventually just do it cuz they either dont wanna deal with it or because it’s considered the “smarter move” so we dont lose a customer. I didnt do anything wrong, i get told i didnt do anything wrong by my managers, but im still the one getting yelled at and threatened for not doing anything wrong. These companies are so spineless, they’ll bend the knee to so many people in fear of losing a customer instead of protecting employees from abusive customers.
