Corrections nurse here too 🙋🏻♀️We recently did a community walk-through, and when they stopped in medical to ask me questions, it reminded me how differently the general public views correctional healthcare. 😅 I completely forget sometimes that most people only know what happens in jails and prisons from movies or TV. They were genuinely shocked by how much medical care we’re actually able to provide. I’ve been doing this for so long that it’s just second nature to me! I think that’s probably a big reason why people are taking certain things out of context too—if you’ve never worked inside a correctional facility, there’s so much you simply wouldn’t know or understand about how things actually work. Also, a sock sleeper here 🤣
