i think most arguments are caused by misinterpretation, miscommunication, and misunderstanding. we are all shaped so differently and have our own triggers or ways of expression that often clash with others. if you can recognize that and dig deeper into the whys of each other's perceptions, you can get through anything together.

See personally I could never see myself as better than my partner, him and I are like PB&J. Always better together.

Arguing with her feels like a rubber band. the more distant we are, the harder the pull and the tension grows towards middle ground. We fold so quickly into eachother the moment one starts to apologize.

Men, it’s easy. Envelope them in hugs, don’t let them escape, kiss them until the chink in their armor appears and once you’ve hit gold THATS when you acknowledge, apologize, and reconcile

It’s about learning. You will not immediately find a soulmate. You will make one. If another person is willing to give up their emotions to resolve a bigger problem, as much as you are, then you have found true love. And if someone is willing to listen to your emotions and feelings as much as you are to them, then you’ve found true love. Love is selfless, and there is only that one person you will feel selfless for at a time. If you can’t follow that, you are not ready to give up anything for a relationship. It’s building. Not standing still.

as much as I want to strive with my significant other, living with them for over a year has really burnt me out. She emulates that she really does love me, but a lot of the current characteristics have me doubting more of a life with her. I don't truly know if this is a hard patch we're going through or if I just need to take the signs, but sacrificing and completely uprooting my life from FL to WA has drastically made me severely depressed and mentally unwell. I don't know what to do.

The challenge is vocabulary. An argument is a discussion where people are against each other… a debate however is the people against the problem. Always be against the problem, not each other.

last night we had an argument over a small issue, my frustration made me lash out and i immediately stopped myself when she called me out on it, she was just trying to correct a bad habit and I took it as an attack, this morning I apologized and made her breakfast, she left saying I love you before work and im happy I can take a step back to remember my feelings in the moment are not even close to what we have.

My NUMBER 1 piece of advice to newly weds is DO NOT GO TO BED ANGRY. No matter what at the end of the day you have to remember it’s you 2 vs the problem not 1 vs another.

“You need to treat them like a human being with dignity”… I wish I received that advice early on. She completely dismissed how I felt near the end. And I just kept forgiving her…

My dad raised me to find someone who could walk with me through the hardest of times. The death of my parents. Loss, more than just finacial.
My wife and I lost our son.. While the experience destroyed us, we stood tall and leaned on eachother. We are eachothers biggest supporter. On the days im failing, shes there to push me if i need it, and support me if i need that. And im there for her in the same way. It is literally us against whatever life may throw at us. Ive never felt more like I have a teammate who is strong and capable. What hes describing, is exactly what we have.

As a man who has been in toxic relationships in the past(which I contributed to as well before I get hate), my fiancée now is the ONLY one I’ve been with who can have a LOGICAL conversation after the fight is over. Sure tempers flare and people get angry, that’s human nature. But at the end of the day we always resolve the issue and listen to each others opinions. She would NEVER have a problem if I didn’t need to work on it and as a man I feel like a lot of men need to hear this. She’s not trying to make you feel like less or degrade you, it’s what SHE needs and if you truly love her you’ll do it(or vice versa).

When we were dating we almost broke up over a huge argument but now we married and lived together. We never have had big arguments again because it’s not worth it.
