My soft spot that i have a hard time not buying are old photos. Like the really old ones. How do they end up at a thrift store? Don't the families care? Those are their relatives. I call them the forgotten people. Makes me sad....

I love that you do that. I used to cross stitch and embroider but then one day my mom asked me if I really thought people wanted what I made and said I was just wasting my time and money and I haven’t done it in 20 years. I have visions of all my projects ending up in a thrift store or the garbage.

The pottery glazing is amazing! I would have taken that home with me, too. The fused glass things could have some tea light candles flicker behind them. I bet that would be pretty.

I would find a nice bowl and put the eggplant in it, then keep an eye out for other glass vegetables and fruits and add them to your bowl, eventually, you will have a beautiful display of vegetables and fruits. Anytime I find realistic vegetables and fruits, usually some kind of plastic, I purchase it and put it in my fruit bowl or my vegetable bowl. In one antique bowl I have the most realistic grapes, in different types, that I have ever seen, and they spill out over the sides and it’s quite nice to look at.
