@thedamonharrison: My 85-year-old mother has decided she’s ready to go home and be with JESUS. ❤️ Every day I take her dinner order, and we treat each dinner as though it may be her last—because Mama gets what Mama wants. Tonight, Mama requested one of her favorites: grilled filet mignon and a baked potato. 🥩🥔 I asked about a side salad, but she said that would just be too much. She’s not eating quite as much as she used to, so these days I make exactly what she asks for and as much as she thinks she can eat. Filet mignon has become a weekly—or at least every-other-week—request around here. Mama LOVES her steak. Tonight I’m fixing it the way her daddy used to: a little Worcestershire sauce and Lawry’s seasoning before it hits the grill. I’ll admit, I think a really good steak cooked right doesn’t need much of anything…but there’s something special about making it the way her daddy made it. ❤️ And those baked potatoes? Straight into the microwave. 😂 Sometimes simple is best. There’s just nothing like the smell of steaks cooking on the grill. We’re incredibly grateful for all of you who are new here and have decided to follow along and share this little piece of our lives with us.
