@thomas.taylor038: Many people spend weeks or even months building relationships online without ever confirming who they are truly speaking with. While genuine people are usually willing to provide reasonable proof of their identity, scammers and catfishers often avoid video calls, cancel plans at the last minute, or create endless excuses to prevent verification. These tactics are designed to keep victims emotionally invested while hiding the truth. If someone consistently avoids proving who they are, it may be time to ask questions. Protecting yourself online is not being suspicious-it's being responsible. Taking the time to verify an online identity can help prevent emotional heartbreak, financial loss, and long-term manipulation. #onlinesafety #identityverification #romancescamawareness #catfishalert #stayprotected
