So, this is not the first time this ship has been out this long. These deployments have been normal since before Obama. They have resupply ships in the Navy that exist to resupply these ships during their long deployments.

as a woman who used to be on a carrier, most of us knew to stock tf up on menstrual products because they usually run low at some point. but some people don't know to do that, or there's too many extensions and you didn't bring enough, and it can very easily turn into a problem fairly quickly once you've been out to sea for a long time. also the stress can impact your cycle.

there is a group in the Navy that is designated to resupplying ships that are out at sea. Yeah that fleet was destroyed by iran in the opening days. It’s not incompetence(maybe😅) but we actually don’t really have the resources to resupply. One of the ships is stopping in somewhere to get repainted because the ship is in complete disarray. Not here to debate or argue.

For context, there’s an operation called “UNREP.” Which is when a supply ship and war ship exchange supplies. It’s pretty cool to watch, and the Helicopters on board assist with taking large crates from the supply ship (normally food) to the warship. Giving that “hunger games” vibe you speak of. While incompetence is definitely at play, this time it’s not the navy’s fault exactly. Remember a few months ago when they said a base in Bahrain got hit? That’s 5th fleet command. They have 2 main functions: Intelligence for the entire Middle East, and SUPPLY CHAIN. So when that got blown up bc the orange man does know how to talk to foreign leaders, we have no supply chain in the Persian gulf.
