I wanted a sci-fi show about the alien fighting, galactic peacekeepers that green lanterns are known for. Instead we get a taylor sheridan-esque crime drama with green lanterns sprinkled on top

it was like 6/10 for me, interesting plot, good dynamics, but i’m not impressed with it trying to prove itself as a green lantern show. it’s only the first episode so i won’t judge too harshly, but right now i don’t really like the aesthetic of it being some western detective drama. i hope the show actually isn’t scared of its own property, and shows the space elements that makes green lantern so special

It HAS to be a fakeout ending bro, theres no way they kill off Hal like that. the fact theres no ring too, surely it would've gone to John or Guy if Hal died, and we already know Guy has a different ring.

Outside of the ending (which I’m still interested if the do something cool with it) I’m actually really enjoying the show so far. Even though I wish they hadn’t aged him up, Kyle Chandler is genuinely so good as Hal bro 😭
