While you shouldn’t do this to your leopard gecko. I do know that a lot of breeders do this to babies so that they can get used to having checkups and handling because as babies there’s a lot of things that can go wrong and they cannot perform medical check ups if the baby isn’t desensitized to touch, he’s new to the world. He’s scared he’s upset and sadly it’s a process that has to be done so that he’s pet ready, and…vet ready. Don’t do this to ur pet geckos unless they’re comfortable! This is typically done for tiny babies so that they get used to fingers

TwT as someone who wished the breeder did it and that wish i tried to recover it when my girl was little. this looks like a baby. if its not desensitized at this age. it WILL be a problem as they get older. be it bity flighty or worse. they toss there tail at simple check ups of their health. which is WORSE. I tell ya uncomfy now alive and healthy later!!!
