The people that fault Joel here crack me up. Do people not remember what happened before we got to this point? They knocked Joel out after lying to him. The entire trip was a lie. They had no way of making a vaccine in that little room. Was Joel supposed to just walk away?

I also never see anyone talk about how the "Doctor" supposed to synthesise this vaccine from Ellies brain... was not a brain surgeon, not an immunologist, but a fucking veterinary doctor. 🤣 The cure would have failed, either through insufficient expertise, insufficient equipment, inadequate preservation, or the inability to actually distribute it. In a world like TLoU, even if they made s cure successfully, preserved it, mass produced it etc the Fireflies were clearly making a power play. To finally put themselves above the remaining authority groups and make themselves unassailable by "having the only cure". The Fireflies were just as corrupt ideologically and corruptible as every other group we meet, and I'm really sick of pretending otherwise.
